Congress Calls Mass Mobilisation Over Alleged Vote Theft, Pawan Khera Urges Public to Rally in Delhi

Congress leader Pawan Khera urges citizens to join a December 14 rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, alleging vote theft and accusing authorities of evading key questions raised by Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera on Friday intensified the party’s attack over alleged electoral irregularities, calling on citizens to join a large protest in the national capital as the opposition presses for answers it says have gone unanswered. Addressing the controversy, Khera claimed that those responsible for what he described as “vote theft” were now attempting to divert attention after being exposed.

Speaking in Delhi, Khera asserted that the core questions surrounding the alleged manipulation of votes were clear and repeatedly raised by the Congress leadership. He said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi have consistently sought explanations on the issue, but no response has been forthcoming so far. According to Khera, the absence of answers has only deepened concerns and strengthened the opposition’s resolve to take the matter directly to the public.

The Congress leader appealed to people across Delhi and beyond to participate in a major rally scheduled for December 14 at the historic Ramlila Maidan. He described the event as a united stand against alleged electoral malpractice and urged citizens to raise their voices to ensure accountability. Khera maintained that public participation was crucial to prevent those accused of wrongdoing from evading scrutiny.

The call for mobilisation comes amid heightened political tensions, with the Congress positioning the issue of alleged vote theft as a serious challenge to democratic processes. By taking the protest to a prominent public venue, the party aims to demonstrate popular support and apply pressure for official clarification and accountability.

As preparations for the rally gather pace, the episode underscores the growing friction between the opposition and the ruling establishment over electoral integrity. The turnout and response at Ramlila Maidan are expected to signal how strongly the issue resonates with the public, potentially shaping the political narrative in the days ahead.
